“Defeating inflation is our mantra, our mission, our mandate,” and that’s “why we have to raise interest rates,” says ECB’s Lagarde now, after years of reckless money-printing and NIRP. Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter and his immediate firing of top brass represents a potential weakening of the Big Digital woke cartel that controls information, censers content, censures and bans users, and serves as a propaganda arm of leftist totalitarian statists. Given their cooperation with and promotion of leftist statism, it is more than evident that Twitter, Facebook, Google, and others have served as state apparatuses, as what I have called “governmentalities.” Musk’s takeover not only represents a potential blow to the woke cartel but also to the globalist statists whom it so assiduously serves. I believe this is a direct consequence of the accelerating economic and social decline of the American empire and its attempts to counteract this decline with austerity at home and an increasingly bellicose, reckless and astronomically expensive foreign policy.…

Black Adam dropped into theaters last weekend, bringing DC Comics’ violent antihero to the silver screen for the first time in live action. With Dwayne Johnson in the lead role, Adam beats up hero and villain alike after being released from a 5,000-year imprisonment, from the early scenes until the credits roll (the post-credits scene is comparatively chill).”The arrival of megastar Dwayne Johnson in the DC universe, plus the long wait for the film’s arrival, built Black Adam into feeling like an event,” CNET’s Richard Trenholm said in his review. “Now it’s here, and it doesn’t feel that momentous. Still,…

You may trust Chegg with your textbooks or tutoring, but regulators aren’t quite so confident. The Federal Trade Commission has filed a complaint accusing education tech provider Chegg of “careless” security practices that compromised personal data since 2017.
